Short Term Goals

  1. Finish branding, planning, and determining metrics of success.
  2. Develop opensource software that reduces the time & effort of the typical 80% ratio of most applications, notice this does not say maintain, so there is definitely a need for someone to step up to this role.
  3. Blogging on the development process of those projects, business, branding, and tips and techniques of using technology to one’s advantage.
  4. Build momentum and consistency on the web.

Long Term Goals

  1. Build an online community, which ties into another strategic goal/idea that you would need to contact me for more information on.
  2. Find key people in other fields who can contribute in their own way of how to make life simpler.
  3. Build an online searchable repository of references, tutorials,  and videos.
  4. Develop consumer products that have both free and commercial versions.  The free versions will be for an opensource project or a small business/non-profit that makes only a determined amount.

Current Projects

  • Midori – a “generative” loosely coupled application framework for data driven applications. Free.
  • Tab – Tools, Automation, Build kit.  basically Rake for php and soon .net/mono. Free.

Both of the current projects will be for PHP and .Net/Mono.  They are not yet at a 1.0 release stage and probably will not be for the next 8 -12  months, unless people want to offer support with time.

Future Projects

  • Graphical command line - a command line like cmd or bash with intellisense  for options and maybe room for plugins and more. Free.
  • Documentation System with tools – built on top of mono/.net and using the docbook XML specification. free versions will be for an opensource project or a small business/non-profit that makes only a determined amount.
  • Small business kit – ** free versions will be for an opensource project or a small business/non-profit that makes only a determined amount.
  • SCM (software configuration management) toolset – ** free versions will be for an opensource project or a small business/non-profit that makes only a determined amount.
  • Social Network – **
  • Chat Client – WPF client for various apis, aim, yahoo, msn, etc.  Free and for fun.

** means thats its imperative that I do not leak too much information on what will make this products better and different than the rest.
